For our 33rd annual program, the Law and Literature Weekend Seminar invites participants to explore Louise Erdrich's National Book Award-winning novel, The Round House.
Led by Professor Allison Weiss and W&L faculty, the seminar examines the novel through legal, ethical, and literary lenses. The novel is told from the perspective of a 13-year-old boy, who takes on the investigation of his mother's attack when he feels police work has fallen short. It promises to conjure a rich conversation about justice, the legal rights of children, and local enforcement.
This program is open to everyone interested in literature — you do not need to be an attorney to attend.
